Hamira (Ruby) is a 2 year old (3 in May) modern type mare with correct conformation and a beautiful head. Her fantastic gaits and steady rhythm will make her well suited as a competition horse, as well as her bravery and level-headed attitude. Hamira won her Yearling Hunter division class at the KWPN 2013 inspection and went on to become the 2013 North American Yearling Hunter Champion. The following is what the judges had to say about her at inspection: “well developed, elegant, tall, long-lined, good connections in the top-line, correct legs and supple in movementâ€.
She enjoys learning new things and has proven to be a quick learner. She trailers well, leads great, used to blankets & polos, cross-ties, great for farrier and loves attention. She likes playing in the arena over ground poles and jumps and does great when we belly-up on her. She willingly accepts wearing a bridle and being saddled.
Her sire ‘Sir Sinclair’ is an exceptional stallion from the well known Iron Spring Farms, with the perfect combination of temperament, talent and bloodlines. An impressive athlete, he competed through Prix St. Georges with scores in the ‘70s. As a young horse, he was named the 2005 Markel/USEF National FEI 6-Year-Old Champion and the USDF FEI 6-Year-Old Horse of the Year. In 2006, Sir Sinclair won the Prix St. Georges Challenge at Dressage at Lexington, with a score of 72.5%.
As a sire he’s equally remarkable. He won the Get of Sire class at the prestigious Dressage at Devon Breed Show an unprecedented four consecutive times from 2006-2009. He is the sire of an Approved stallion, as well as winning FEI horses, breed show champions and Star and Keur mares. Many Sir offspring have been named KWPN-NA North American Champions in both dressage and hunter divisions, showing his impressive versatility as a sire. In fact in 2014 Sir Sinclair was given th ‘Keur’ title which indicates his achievements.
